Keynote Speaker(s)
MCYR 2026 will open with inspiring keynote addresses that set the stage for this year’s theme, "Research Innovation to Action: Pathways Toward Resilience in a Risk-Prone World." Delivered by distinguished experts, these thought-provoking speeches will provide valuable insights, challenge perspectives, and ignite discussions that will shape the conference.
Prof. Dr. Hassan El Bari
Professor, Ibn Tofail University, MoroccoProf. Dr. Hassan El Bari is an internationally recognised expert in waste management, circular economy, biomass valorisation, bioenergy, and anaerobic digestion. With more than three decades of academic and research experience, he has coordinated numerous international projects and authored over 100 scientific publications. He currently serves as President of the Moroccan Association of Solid Waste, Associate Editor of Cleaner Waste Systems (Elsevier), and is an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission. His work focuses on advancing sustainable waste management and renewable bioenergy solutions through research, innovation, and international collaboration.
Keynote lecture: The Role of Bioenergy in Achieving a Circular Economy: Toward a Sustainable Society
Dr. Inge Stegeman
Associate Professor, University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands
Dr. Inge Stegeman is an Associate Professor at the University Medical Center Utrecht and a researcher specialising in biomedical research quality, Open Science, evidence synthesis, and clinical epidemiology. Her work focuses on improving the quality, transparency, and reproducibility of biomedical research, while her clinical research addresses hearing disorders, particularly tinnitus. She is the coordinator of the OSIRIS consortium and an active advocate for Open Science and responsible research practices, contributing to national and international initiatives that promote research integrity and collaboration.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the MCYR2026 Book of Abstracts, assigned an ISBN and accessible online.
The MCYR2026 Book of Abstracts will be available online after the conference and will include only presented contributions. The conference is free of charge; however, a printed Book of Abstracts can be provided for a small fee upon request. For more details or to request a copy, contact the organizers at BRT@ftz.czu.cz with the subject "Printed Book of Abstracts."
