The core aim is to provide opportunities for early career researchers from a range of disciplines to share their research through the conference podium, as well as to receive informal in-depth feedback through discussions and to enable them to establish contact with professionals and other institutions.
The abstracts will be published in a Book of Abstracts, which will also be available online. E-Book of Abstracts will have DOI.
The conference is co-organized by the Biogas Research Team (Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague) with the support of the AgriSciences Platform.

Call for abstracts:
Please, submit your abstracts by 15.8.2023 31.8.2023 via email at BRT@ftz.czu.cz. The files should be named with the author’s name and surname: e.g. Smith_Abstract. The expected abstracts of the original research should contain up to 150 words.
The full-text articles of 1,500-2,500 words can be optionally submitted till 31.8.2023 via email BRT@ftz.czu.cz.
Please, use the Conference abstract/full-text template for the formatting.
If the formatting requirements, including late submissions, are not fulfilled, the abstract will not be accepted.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee and Reviewers. Authors will be notified by the end of August whether their abstracts have been accepted.
Notification of a final assignment (oral/poster presentation), as well as guidelines, will follow. Please, check your email regularly.

General requirements
According to the Schengen Agreement, tourist and business visas issued by a mission of one of the following countries are valid for travel to all other countries listed: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
However, you always have to apply at the mission of the country which is your main destination.
You should file your visa application in the state of your citizenship or residency. If there is no diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic in this state, the application should be filed at a diplomatic mission which is accredited for that state (usually in a neighbouring state) or at a diplomatic mission of another Schengen Area state which represents the Czech Republic in this state.
Please note that the processing of a Schengen visa category C (short-term visa - for visits to the Czech Republic of up to 90 days), takes at least two weeks and it is not possible to expedite the visa processing. Therefore, be sure to apply for a visa in time.
At most Czech embassies it is crucial to make an appointment before the necessary documents can be handed in - usually by phone, email or website booking system. Please be sure to book an appointment at least 6-8 weeks prior to the intended time of travel - in most cases you do have to start obtaining an appointment much earlier. You will find all necessary information on the website of the Czech embassy in your country.

Invitation letter
We as organisers of the "MCYR 2023" conference can not issue any invitation letters. Instead, we offer you to issue a letter of confirmation. We can either confirm the acceptance of your contribution to be presented at the "MCYR 2023" or your registration for the "MCYR 2023" conference.
If you wish to receive such a letter, please contact us via BRT@ftz.czu.cz.
Be aware that we can only issue such letters electronically (pdf format) and are not able to send you or the Czech embassy a hard copy.

The overall workshop plan with contact addresses will be made available on our website. The workshop organiser can choose the mode of dissemination in case it should be announced to a wider public. Otherwise workshops can also be indicated as private circle (group of people). Further details can be discussed after acceptance of the workshop.

MCYR pre-conference workshops (9.-10.5, 2023)
On the 9th and 10th of May, the MCYR pre-conference workshop will take place.
The workshop for early career researchers will provide an opportunity for individuals from a variety of academic backgrounds to share their research findings through a conference podium. This will give them an opportunity to present their research to an audience that includes other early career researchers, professionals, and institutions.
In addition to presenting their research, the workshop will also provide participants with an opportunity to receive informal, in-depth feedback through discussions. This feedback will come from other researchers, professionals, and institutions. This will enable the participants to get a better understanding of how their research can be improved and what areas they may need to focus on in the future.
Finally, the workshop will enable participants to establish contacts with professionals and other institutions. This will give them an opportunity to network and create valuable connections in their field. The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to meet and interact with professionals who can provide guidance, advice, and future opportunities.
Overall, the workshop for early career researchers will provide a valuable opportunity for individuals to share their research, receive feedback, and establish connections with professionals and other institutions. It will enable them to develop their skills, gain valuable experience, and make important connections that will be beneficial for their future career prospects.
